Boil the 2 l of water and add the shrimp to cook. Take them out once they are pink and put them aside. Keep the shrimp broth as it's also part of the final shrimp cocktail
Blend the tomatoes, the sugar and the salt in a blender to make a tomato puree and put aside in a bowl.
Chop up the onion into fine pieces and put it aside in a bowl.
Skin the cucumber, remove the seeds, chop it up into fine pieces and put it aside in a bowl.
Chop up the avocado into small pieces (easy way how to can be seen in the video)
To make each shrimp cocktail add to a dessert bowl 2 tbsp of the tomato puree, 2 tbsp of the cucumber pieces, 1 tbsp of onion, avocado and shrimp to liking, juice of half a lemon, 2 1/2 ladles of the shrimp broth.
Add ketchup (3 tbsp) and hot sauce (1 tsp) to taste. The shrimp cocktail should have a balanced sweet and hot taste but every person may enjoy it slightly different so no exact measurements are given here.
Mix all ingredients, taste and add more ketchup or hot sauce if needed.
