Mexican Milk Jello
This Mexican Milk Jello is a very simple and delicious dessert which often takes us back to our lovely childhood birthday parties. This type of jello is the basic recipe so you can create and recreate as many different types of jellos as your imagination can come up with. We hope you enjoy the recipe!!
Preparing this Mexican Milk Jello does not take long, is very easy and it always turns out nice. By adding other ingredients to the jello, for example crushed Oreo cookies, the jello can be given a different taste. We will share other variations of the jello with you on our blog over the coming months. The Oreo cookie jello is one of the jellos which our sons like alot.
In Mexico jellos are part of every kids birthday party and also family gatherings or other celebrations can’t be imagined without jellos. They are prepared with different flavours and some come decorated with very sophisticated hand painted drawings on top.
In contrast, in Europe jellos are not so popular. In Europe at Birthday parties and family gatherings usually cake is served and you can hardly find any part with jellos. This is one of the many cultural differences we identified during our marriage.

- ½ taza Agua caliente
- 1 lata leche condensada
- 1 lata leche evaporada
- 1 lata leche
- 4 cda. esencia de vainilla

- turn off the stove and let the liquid rest until it cooled down to room temperature
- pour the jello liquid into the jello form and cool it in the fridge for 4 hours
- Take it out of the form once it is solid and decorate it with fruits to your liking.
